Goldbridge Investment Club - Consulting Guidelines

Luxembourg’s first student consulting initiative!

1. Purpose and Philosophy

Goldbridge’s consulting service is an educational consulting initiative developed within Goldbridge Investment Club a.s.b.l.. We exist to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world business challenges.

Goldbridge is the first student association in Luxembourg that specialises in hands-on experience.

Our purposes are:

  1. To allow students to apply economic and strategic theory to real-world startup challenges

  2. To provide startups with structured, independent strategic insights in areas where early-stage founders often lack time or analytical capacity.

Important: Goldbridge Investment Club is not a professional consulting firm. Please consult “4. Governance and Responsibility” for our legal disclaimer!

Our offer

  • Market analysis
Desk-based research to help startups better understand their target market, customer segments, and high-level demand trends.

  • Competition analysis
Structured mapping of competitors and substitutes, positioning logic, and differentiation opportunities.

  • Growth strategy ideation
Go-to-market and expansion ideas based on market and competitive insights, without operational execution or decision-making authority.

2. Scope of Activities

2.1 Market Analysis

Our Market Analysis aims to help our clients better understand their target market, consumer segments and demand trends.

Our work typically includes:

  • Identification of target customer segments

  • Analysis of market size and demand drivers

  • Understanding customer needs and pain points

  • Market trends relevant to the startup’s activity

2.2 Competition Analysis

Assisting startups in mapping and interpreting their competitive environment.

This usually included:

  • Identification of direct and indirect competitors

  • Analysis of substitutes in the market

  • Positioning and differentiation of the clients product

  • Comparative strengths and weaknesses

2.3 Growth Strategy

Drawing on market and competitive insights, we develop growth and go-to-market ideas tailored to each startup’s context.

This normally includes:

  • Market entry logic

  • Early growth hypotheses

  • Expansion paths (geographic, customer segment, or product-based)

  • Strategic prioritisation of growth initiatives

3. Operational Structure

Our Consulting projects follow a structured framework.

3.1 Project Scoping

Each project begins with a project scoping phase:

  • Definition of the startup’s core challenge

  • Agreement on scope and limitations

  • Alignment on timelines and deliverables (generally 1-3 months per project)

3.2 Team Formation

Projects are carried out by 3-5 students, depending on the size of the project. The students typically study:

  • Economics

  • Finance

  • Computer Science

  • Politics

Prior to joining the consulting team, the students undergo screening in our interview. Our recruitment interview consists of a personal part and a technical part. Ensuring that our teams are motivated and qualified to work on projects.

3.3 Quality Control

Before any delivery, or presentation:

  • Work is reviewed internally, by the team heads/project leads

  • Outputs are checked for clarity, design, and quality

This step is critical for us, to maintain our standards and allows us to anticipate and solve potential problems. While we are a student association, quality is very important to us as we want to provide a professional service where students and clients profit from.

3.4 Delivery & Feedback

Results are delivered in the form of a presentation, typically online.

Each presentation includes strategic insights / recommendations, depending on project.

4. Governance, Responsibility

Goldbridge Investment Club a.s.b.l., as a student association and ASBL, operates under strict safeguards to ensure legal and ethical clarity:

  • No legal, tax, regulatory, audit, or investment advice

  • No execution or operational involvement

  • No decision-making authority

  • No assumption of liability

Startups retain full responsibility for decisions and outcomes.
